The United Nations Mission in Central African Republic and Chad (MINURCAT) on 25 September 2007.The mission was to contribute in the protection of civilians, promote human rights, the rule of law, and promote regional peace. This mission was completed on 31 December 2010 and the Chadian government pledged full responsibility for protecting civilians on its territory.Canada didn't have any involvement in the mission.I think these actions were really effective because now the civilians have rights and protection which they didn't have before.
The UN (United Nations) is a Intergovernmental Organization that was established in October 24,1945 and it has 51 member states. The difference between the organizations is that the UN is an Intergovernmental Organization and NATO is a Intergovernmental military alliance. Also the UN has 51 member states and NATO has 28 member states.Canada is included in the UN because the UN follows every nation.Canada is included in NATO because they hoped the North Atlantic Treaty Organization would help eliminate any potential rivalries between the United States, the United Kingdom, and other European powers.
